Question
Hey Dianne,
i was just wondering if you could tell me about the diet of a ballerina, what they can and can't eat, how much of each thing.....etc. Also, is there a specific weight you need to be to be a ballerina? If so, what is it? thanks very much
Cheers

Answer
Hi Amber. Like any other athlete, ballet dancers weight and nutritional needs will be relative to their skeletal type and height.

Here is a link to an interview I was asked to give at at http://www.balletconnections.com/DianneBuxton

which covers a lot about good diet for dancers. Here is a link to a protein calculator:

http://www.criticalbench.com/protein-calculator.htm

which gives a formula anyone can use.

All the best, Dianne
