Question
my teacher said that I'd be a really good ballet dancer if i was confident in myself and got more balance in my technique what does that mean

Answer
Hi Chyanne. Wow. I sure don't know exactly what she means - but I would guess that you're a better dancer than you think you are - maybe deep down you KNOW that, but you're a little scared to believe it. So as far as that subject goes, one lady who is a real expert is Deborah Vogel. If you go to my dance blog:
http://www.balletshoesandpointeshoes.blogspot.com/

Scroll down the left sidebar, and you will see a picture of a teen - and the words "Train Your Brain at the Body Series" and "click below". Deborah (who is world famous as a dance medicine specialist) wrote a book for teens to re-train their brain with. This is all about Positive Thinking. If you can get this, I would recommend it.

Now your teacher's comment " got more balance in my technique", you'll have to ask her  - "what are my strengths? What are my weaknesses?" Anything can be improved upon - so ask her exactly what she thinks you need to work on, and go from there.

I'd love to hear about how this goes, if you have the time.

All the best, Dianne
