Question
I am 19 years old and am 5'6" and 110 lbs.  I currently am dancing with a small company but am looking to move up in the ballet world. I was wondering if I am around a good weight for dancing.  Some instructors have mentioned I needed to lose some more weight, other suggest I am fine where I am.

Answer
Hello and happy new year Jessica,

Who are those instructors that consider you do not have the right body to take ballet ? Your body is the most important thing you have in your life, and changing it for anything but health IS a bad idea.
