Question
hi im confused with croise i know what it means crossed but this is my problem im not always sure what front corner im meant to face so say your in the center of the room facing the front and your right leg is in front in fifth and the teacher says facing croise what corner do i turn to the right corner? or the left and if you have got your left leg in fifth are you always facing the same corner with each leg sorry if this does not make any sense but i hope it does

Answer
Hi Christi. Picture your legs from the audience viewpoint:

If you have your right leg in front in fifth, you would be facing the corner left of center - an audience member would see your legs as crossed. Your legs would make an 'X' shape, "crossed", or French word for ballet, "croise"..

All the best, Dianne.
