Question
I am preparing to start pointe classes, and my instructor wants me to build ankle strength. What are some exercises, whether ballet or not, that will accomplish this?

Answer
Hi Madeleine. I recommend a dancers guide which you can review here:

http://balletpointeshoes.info  It costs $47.77 USD

If you can't buy this right now, you can get some exercises here:

http://balletshoesandpointeshoes.blogspot.com/ - scroll down the left sidebar and you'll see some blog titles on exercises for dancing in pointe shoes. These are good, do them 6 days a week and you will gain strength.
