Question
Hello, I was taking ballet for 5 years and stopped for about 7 years. I am 15 years old and would love to get back into ballet classes. I just do not know which class is right for me. A lot of sites say I should be in a pointe class, however I can not do a lot of moves that a skilled ballet dancer can do anymore such as the splits or an arabesque or anything along that line. What classes should I enroll in now after all these years?

Hi Ketina. You are 15, haven't taken ballet for 7 years, since you were 8?

If you have chosen, or soon choose a ballet academy that you can attend, just explain to the teachers there, your background with ballet training. They will place you in the right level for you to restore your ballet experience.

You certainly cannot do pointe classes right now. You need to regain your muscle strength and technical abilities first. But you'll get there!
