Question
Well.. I am 15 at the moment and I've been doing bale since March. I really love doing bale. But I am not sure if I am doing well, which puts me down. I am in grade 4 at the moment, so when would I start doing the pointe work, I really was too !! And how many lessons would you take in a week if you were me, because I only take one and i think that's not enough
Please Help !

Answer
Hi Dilan. Typically, you would do 3-4 years before doing pointe work. The accuracy of technique and strength required cannot be compromised.

It's great that you like ballet. Why don't you ask your teacher how you are doing, and if there is anything in particular that you could improve on. Most teachers react very positively to a student who shows interest in getting ahead.

And please if you don't mind, let me know in a while, how things are progressing.

All the best, Dianne
