Question
i recently turned 13 and im having rouble with my leaps. i can DO A SPLITS BUT I JUST CAN GET HIGH UP THE GROUND. MY FRONT LEG IS HIGH BUT MY BACK LEG IS SO LOW IT JUST SEEMS LIKE MY BACK LEG CANT GO UP NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY TO MAKE IT GO HIGHER.

Answer
Well, it's good that you can do a split, so you know you have the flexibility.  It sounds like what you're struggling with is strength.  Make sure to concentrate hard on the adagio section of class since that's when you gain a lot of your strength.  Also ask your teacher about some drills you can do to improve your leaps.  Good luck. =]

Expertise

I can answer lots about ballet, specifically the Vaganova syllabus. I'm still training, but both my parents were professional dancers, so most answers will be coming from them, not me. :) They're the experts. Obviously, questions about difficult technique, etc, would be better answered with someone else, but if you're just becoming interested in dancing, or are having problems with basic steps, like pirouettes or plies, then I may be able to help

Experience

I've seen ballet since the age of 0, because of my parents, and I am training to become a professional dancer now.
