Ballet/pirouettes

Question
Is there a way to make doing more pirouettes in a row easier (other then spoting)?

Answer
Gosh, i wish there was a solution that would make doing pirouettes easier.  Unfortunately, there are so many things to think about that just one thing won't do the trick.  It may be the shape of your arms, or that your basic stance isn't correct, or that you're not high up enough on your leg, or that your head is whipping around too quickly for your body.  My best suggestion is to videotape yourself and try to watch for what's throwing you off.
Good luck!

Expertise

I can answer lots about ballet, specifically the Vaganova syllabus. I'm still training, but both my parents were professional dancers, so most answers will be coming from them, not me. :) They're the experts. Obviously, questions about difficult technique, etc, would be better answered with someone else, but if you're just becoming interested in dancing, or are having problems with basic steps, like pirouettes or plies, then I may be able to help

Experience

I've seen ballet since the age of 0, because of my parents, and I am training to become a professional dancer now.
