Question
Could you recommend a place to take ballroom dancing in Winston-Salem, NC?

Answer
SUSAN;

    I am  in Washington state, clear across the USA from you there in No Carolina. I can't really tell you exactly where to learn,  but I could give  you about 25 very general overall  suggestions. you do not give any person info so I just am guessing you are a 19 year old female who lives just outside the twin cities of w/s.- you do not have a lot of money and time but want to dance like those TV shows? You are not sure which steps to learn, yet,  you like country western music,  do not dance much, but want to learn.

Have you tried the yellow pages of the phone book,
college, high school, parks and rec dept, YMCA, YWCA,  girl and boy friends, family,  night clubs, TV shows, the internet, library? videos, dvds, health clubs, dances,  dance schools like Arthur Murray,parties, bars, cruises, want ads, movies, or put up notes at supermarkets,  bulletin boards, USA-dance has a local chapter in w/s and try asking others at work. Go down this list and try most of the suggestions.  I am sure you will finds 4-5 different folks who can teach you.  Ask them questions about how much they charge and get references.

    Since you found me here at allexpert.com you could do this: go to Goggle search engine and type in free  ballroom dance lessons or dance classes in no Carolina. and try links and links of links.
    Go to larger libraries and look for dance videos.

    Try out dogtrot because it is easy to learn and popular,
then learn swing or rock and roll,  line dancing, then salsa, or tango and then maybe waltz or west coast swing.

I hope this general answer helps you, have fun, practice and make lots of new friends in the dance world. let me know if you need more info or how this worked out for you.
