Ballroom Dancing/Choosing a dance for our wedding song

Question
My fiance and I are dancing to "Steady as we go" by Dave Matthews. We're wondering what dance to do to that song. Neither of us have taken ballroom dancing, but looking into online instruction. We just want to be able to do something more than put our arms around each other and move in circles. We are both athletic, play several different sports. I've taken dance lessons in the past - tap, jazz, hip hop. We're fairly coordinated and can follow a beat. We're both visual, hands on learners, he's a math guy. We have fun together and aren't afraid to try new things. We're not afraid of funky moves either.

Answer
IF YOU HAVE A LOCAL QUALIFIED DANCE TEACHER ASK FOR FOXTROT, WALTZ, TANGO OR NIGHT CLUB 2 STEP THEY WOULD ALL WORK AND YOU COULD LEARN THEM.  OR YOU CAN DO IT ALL YOURSELVES. I MADE 10 SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR WEDDING DANCE. TRY THEM.
I WOULD USE WALTZ STEPS TO THIS GREAT SONG WHICH IS MORE OF A FOXTROT.

THE WALTZ BOX WILL NEED A TIME SHIFT. INSTEAD OF 123 456 USE 12= SLO BEAT AND 3,4 = QQ. TOTAL 8 BEATS.

1.   HE STARTS FWD ON L .FOOT THEN TO RT. WITH RT AND BRING FEET TOG ON 3
THEN HE STEPS BACK ON RT ON 4, TO L ON 5 AND TOGETHER ON 6
THE TIMING IS 12,=S AND  3,4 = QQ  56= SLOW  AND 7&8=QQ.

2.  OR U CAN USE A SIDE BY SIDE STROLLING STYLE ALL AROUND THE ROOM FROM 6AM TO NOON AND BACK TO 6.HAND IN HAND.

3.  COURTNEY CAN GO AROUND 1,2, OR 3 TIMES TRAILING HER FINGERS MASSAGING HIM AS SHE DANCES AROUND  HIM FROM NOON TO 6PM TO NOON AGAIN. THE SIGNAL FOR HER IS HIS HAND PUTTING HER RT HAND ON HIS L SHOULDER.

4.   HE CAN KNEEL AND KISS HER HANDS OR PRESS HER HANDS TO HIS HEAT OR FOREHEAD.

5.   HE CAN DIP HER BACKWARD OR TO THE SIDE AND CARESS HER.

6.   OR FOR SOMETHING REALLY HARD BUT SPECIAL DO A RECTANGLE LIKE A BUSINESS ENVELOPE. 6 BEATS ALL SLOW:

1HE STEPS FWD ON HIS LEFT FOOT,
2STEPS TO RT SIDE WITH RT FOOT
3 STEPS BACK WITH L
4 STEPS BACK AGAIN WITH RT,
5.  THEN STEPS TO HIS L WITH HIS L
6 STEPS FWD WITH HIS RT FOOT
THUS HE IS BACK WHERE HE STARTED.
HIS FEET ALWAYS ARE APART

HER PART IS OPPOSITE SO SHE STARTS BACK ON HER RT FOOT ON 1
2 STEPS TO HER L WITH LEFT
3 STEPS FWD ON 3 AND 4
5. STEPS TO RT  WITH RT
6 STEPS BACK WITH L FOOT END AND REPEAT.

THIS IS AN ADVANCED WALTZ STEP BUT CAN BE DONE TO MOST MUSIC INCLUDING DMB. IT IS LIKE THEY DO ON DANCING WITH THE STARS IT IS CALLED THE OPEN BOX OR RECTANGLE.

6 TO BMAKE IT FANCIER BEND OR CURVE THE RECT. SLIGHTLY LIKE A BANANA. HAVE HER SPIN UNDER HIS L ARM IN BETWEEN 2 AND 3THEN RESUME 3,4 5,6

8.
END WITH A  PHOTO OP DIP AND/OR

9.  A KISS OR
10. HUG OR ALL3

IF YOU NEED FURTHER EXPLANATIONS ASK ME ANOTHER QUESTION.
LET ME KNOW HOW IT COMES OUT BY ASKING ANOTHER Q AND TELLING ME.
PS I THINK YOU 2 MAKE A GREAT COUPLE AND WILL HAVE A AWESOME LIFE TOGETHER.
GOOD LUCK.
