Question
My fiance and I are taking dance lessons to learn some steps for our first dance at our wedding.  My mom and I were thinking of dancing to the James Taylor song "How Sweet It Is," so I would like to know what type of dance goes with that song.  Any suggestions for a beginner?

Answer
Paul:
great choice. I do not know how fast you learn, but from easy to hard, here's 5 choices.
I suggest:
1.   foxtrot- easy walking dance -mellow, slow slow quick quick, L shape pattern -end with dip and kiss, or:

2.   waltz patterns - quick, more challenging, s,qq, like the box-traditional more impressive. Ask your teacher for shadow style, or open box, end with dip and kisses.

3.   night club two step - Latin style, more exotic, quirky, less traditional.harder.

4.   smooth swing, like triple, double, or even single east coast swing harder.
5.    If you have more time and like them, lindy hop or west coast swing most difficult.

It depends on how long till the wedding, how much you want to spend,or how much time you have. or how much you want to impress your fam and friends.  Congratulations, Paul, enjoy- and take pics or videos.
