Question
Would please tell me all of the steps in Triple Swing?  So, I have some ideas and may practice on them befoe I sing up for the class- I'm a slow learner.  Thanks.

Answer
Anna first some explanation for common terms in dancing.:
rt and l. are right and left
uat is under arm turn.
3x is triple step
first: play some slow  music like blues, or swing or rock or c/w music and just practice the triple steps in one place.

start by putting all your weight  on your right foot then left  foot, then right foot again. that is a  feminine triple. count it as 1 and 2

then do the 4 and 5 or  second part -this is masculine. That is lrl
that is the triple step part of 3x triple swing

just keep repeating this 6 step  or 2 sets of triple swing over and over to the music till you can make the steps smoothly after maybe 5 minutes.
this would be rlr, lrl
now add the last part: the rock step.
step back about 8 inches with your rt foot and put all your wt very quickly onto the ball of your rt foot just loong enough to slightly lift your left foot and replace it on the floor. this is the rock step. the count here is 5 and 6

now after you have practiced rock steps until you can do them very fast like a flamenco dancer, do a complete 3x triple swing pattern.

1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 or
you may call it  slow, slow, quick quick or
triple, triple, rock step
these can be done stepping forward and back then rock step  SWING style)
or side to side and rock step= ROCK  style.
Now you are doing triple swing

try moving around the room in circles

practice turning and spinning to left and right.

your partner will raise his arm and you will do an uat then rock step to stay in synch with him.
the leaders male part is the same but starts with his left and goes lrl, rlr, rock step.

once you can do triple steps you can think about learning lindy hop or west coast swing or cha cha or samba or the texas two step or vienese waltz  because they all use triples. I cannot teach all 100 swing steps. but the most basic ones are simple l and rt  turns.  You would need a lead to do most of them.
