Question
God afternoon. I want to ask one question regarding the etiqutte to be maintained at a social gathering. Yesterday was my niece's baptism/christening and we had a small get together and dance. Here I found some ladies were dancing with their lady partners(Not gents) fox strot/waltz since their husbands did not accompany them.Is it advisable to dance with same sex? I was really astonshed.If you do not have partners please pick some gents and dance with them , not with your lady friends. Highly embarrasing.What is the etiquette to be maintained? Your advice is earnestly solicited .Suppose a partner doe not know the steps can I teach them on th dance floor since I am going to lead the partner. Sorry for the trouble .Jimmy Bombay India

I got a 2 year degree at Los angeles city college, and 2 years study at LA state university. majoring in Psychology, and sociology.
