Question
We are gathering data for a 25 year anniversary party
for the president of our company who began his job
in 1975 in Baltimore.  I would like to know some stats on the
Orioles from that year:  team members, manager,
record, etc, etc.  Hope you can help.  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Barbara,

I'll help all I can. The manager of the 1975 Baltimore Orioles was Earl Weaver. The team finished second place in the American League East Division to the Boston Red Sox and ended the season with a 90-69 record. The members of that team were as follows:

  Lee May - 1B ,  Bobby Grich - 2B ,  Brooks Robinson - 3B  , Mark Belanger - SS ,  Ken Singleton - OF ,  Paul Blair - OF  , Don Baylor - OF  , Al Bumbry - OF ,  Jim Northrup - OF  , Tom Shopay - OF , Dave Duncan - C  , Tommy Davis - DH  , Elrod Hendricks - C  , Tony Muser - 1B ,  Doug DeCinces - 3B ,  Tim Nordbrook - SS

The pitching staff consisted of:

Jim Palmer ,  Mike Torrez ,  Mike Cuellar ,  Ross Grimsley ,  Doyle Alexander  , Dyar Miller ,  Grant Jackson  , Paul Mitchell ,  Wayne Garland ,  Mike Flanagan ,  Dave Johnson  , Bob Reynolds ,  Jesse Jefferson

Ken Singleton led the team in batting average with an even .300 mark.
Don Baylor led the team in home runs with 25. Lee May led the team in rbi's with 99. Jim Palmer led the team in wins with 23. Mike Torrez also won 20 games.

I hope this is helpful to you. If there are any more specific questions you would like answered, I'll do my best to answer those. I hope you have a great anniversary party!
