Question My kids got some autographs in Ft. Lauderdale last week, but we can't find their names on the 25 man roster. I guess they were cut. We can't read the names, but we can see that one was #12, the other #80.
Do you know who they are?
(We also got Jason Johnson and David Segui, so we got some name brands).

Answer I can help you out with one of them. Number 12 is pitcher Calvin Maduro, the Orioles' fifth starter. You probably didn't see him on the roster because he began the season on the disabled list. I don't know who #80 is, sorry. But if he had a number that high, he was probably just some minor-leaguer who never had much chance of making the roster.
