I know this sounds like a simplistic question, but I'm trying to sound impressive by giving a good answer to a question. I'm an Orioles fan, but mainly by rooting for the team. I don't know stats or reasons why some of the players are particularly good.
Can you, based on your expertise of the current lineup, tell me who you think is the best young player on the team -- and, in layman's terms, why?
Many thanks!

Answer If I have to pick just one player, I'd say Jay Gibbons, the right fielder. He has really come into his own this season, and he's really emerging as a guy who can hit for a lot of power (30+ homeruns a year), and good contact too (he's hit nearly .300 all season). There are a bunch of other good young players too, but I'd say Gibbons is the best.
