Please tell me how I can get rid of a rather large bamboo growing next to my pond! I have cut it back to as near to the ground as i can. I would like to pot up some of it, but it is near impossible to dig up. Any suggestions welcome!

Dear Susan,
It is very difficult to remove bamboo without complete digging. The only possibility is to wait for completion its life because at this stage it will die naturally. So if you cann't dig it completely, keep it cutting. The second method is to apply some chemicals like picric acid or any other acid but it may be injurious to our body and environment also.
