Subject: Bamboos - a lot of water or no?

Question
Dear Raskesh Kumar,

I have a question about a little bamboo tree I got as  a gift. It's in a little pot with stones in it, no soil. I poured water in the little pot everyday, but Im not sure if that is good because the little bamboo shoots started to yellow and dry. What should I do? Should water be added to a bamboo everyday? And just how much water should a bamboo have?

Thank you so much in advance,

Kate

Answer
I think you should add some fertile soil in it or you can try any nutrient solution like MS media generally used in tissue culture. Observe the response and then inform me again. Because yellowing of leaves may be due to defficiency of nurients.
Rakesh
