Question
Hi,
I have had these 4 cuttings for about 3 years and the plants seems healthy except for the bottom 2" of the stem which has a blackish/whitish coating.  The roots have a orangy color but the leaves are a nice green.  They sit in water about 1" up from the roots.  I think the black/white coating is from the water but don't know how to get rid of it on the stems safely.  Each stem is supported by clear round glass stones.
How do I get rid of this coating?
Thanks, Victoria

Answer
Dear Victoria Sorry for delay in answer
Don't worry about the coating it may be due to the growth of micro-organisms or some times reaction in water. You can just wash your plant with water with some pressure and plz keep changing the water of pot regularly.
Hope for the best
Rakesh
