Bamboo/Yellowing leaves on tropical black bamboo

Question
I live in extreme lower Florida Keys.  My gigantachloa atroviolecea's leaves are beginning to turn yellow and dropping.  The leaves on the new shoots are green.  Is this due to leaf replacement due to less sunlight hours this time of year?  I am growing 5 different species of bamboos and only this one and the vulgaris vittata are doing the same.  A friend 150 miles north of me is growing the v. vittata and her plant seems to have yellowing leaves as well.  Can you help?

Answer
Dear Vivian,
Let me know present atmospheric condition at your area e.g. temp. and humidity. There may be two reasons either atmospheric conditions or nutrition. If it is being reported first time then most probably nutrition and due to toxicity of nutrients.
