Question
My friend has a culm (is this the right word?) that has browned from the Rhizome up to a node.  She cut off the brown beneath the node (that has some leaves on it) and we want to root the cutting.  How do you do this?
thank you
Paige

Answer
You can make the binodal cuttings of the lower half of the culm and fill any auxin like IBA or NAA into the internodal cavity in 100-200ppm concentration and plant them horizontally in the nursery beds so that cuttings are completely covered with soil layer and irrigate them regularly.
