Band Management and Promotions/How to start?

Question
Hi,

I'm a 16 year old high school sophomore. I've been writing songs on the piano since I was in the 6th grade and ever since then I've really wanted to do something with it for a career. This year I tried to get a drummer to play with me, but I've not been able to find anyone who can really write with me. I tend to spin out song after song, and the girl I was trying to write with was a year older, didn't have time and wasn't committed to the music. So that kinda fell off the wagon and into the shit hole.

Personally, I like my solo piano and singing sound alone. The problem however is that it is not really a style I know how to promote. I'm a rock based kid who is into the scene/ska/punk rock scene, but I tent to write more alternative/pop songs. I don't have many recourses to other musicians to play with due to the fact that I go to an all girl's school where I know everyone (and no one there can help me out...). I would love to perform however. I know 'd never be able to play along side the kinds of musicians I know and admire, and I don't really know how or where I would be able to play. I've been recording pretty crappy demos on my laptop and posting them in my blog, but beyond that I can't really seem to do anything promoting-wise.

What do you think I should do?
