Banjo/buying a banjo

Question
There are so many banjos out there that I just don't know what to look for.  I have been taking bluegrass banjo lessons for a couple months and want to start looking at buying a better banjo than the one I have now.  Should I just go on looks or are there certain things I need to look for?  Any advice at all would be great.  Thanks!

Answer
oh yes there are things that you need to look for, for starters since you are playing bluegrass scruggs style you need to look for sound as well as tone. pick up the banjo, the heavier the banjo is the better sound you will get. you are going to be looking for tone ring, flange, and resonator, look at what type of wood the banjo is made out of. how much are you willing to spend?
