Bankruptcy Law/Chapter 13 Filing Fees

Question
I want to know when filing a Chapter 13 do you pay the filing fees up front or can you wait 30 days? Is this up to the discretion of the lawyer. Also, where can I find a good bankruptcy lawyer in Georgia in the Colquitt County area or Metro Atlanta area with low filing fees.

Answer
Normally the bankruptcy court fee of $274 is paid in advance of the case getting filed.  Occasionally, you can pay the fee thru your lawyer, who will get reimbursed thru your chapter 13 payments, or you can petition the court on motion to pay the filing fee in installments.
