Question
we filed a chapter 13 about 4 years ago and we are just about paid up, but recently missed about 2 or 3 payments now they want to dismiss our case and say that we must pay an amount of 3,000 within 20 days. if we do not have the monies what can we do to continue with the bankruptcy case till it ends.

Answer
You can ask the court for more time to get the funds together if you can get them shortly, usually you have to tender partial payment to be able to get the continuance.  Your attorney can also bring a motion to defer default if you have room in your case, so check with your lawyer about the different options available.
