Bankruptcy Law/medical bills and chapter 7

Question
Can I include medical bills that are in my wife's name but through "my" insurance plan on my chapter 7?  I'm going to file this myself, alone as she cannot file.  Also, if we've already received our tax refund and it's gone before we file can the trustee try and get it back?
Thank you for your time.

Answer
You may list them, but since they are your wife's debt, she'll still be responsible for the payment of them.  Greg, each state has exemptions for tax returns, so you need to discuss what is/was/could be protected here.  Good luck.
