Question
I spoke with an attorney about filing chapter 7 , I am married and I am the only one who will file. I plan on reaffirming with my house payments, I have never been late. When I spoke with the attorney, I was not sure I wanted to file but I am on SS disability and worked a part time job, I was laid off from this job. The house and loan are in my name only. I have used my credit cards since I spoke with the attorney, is this considered fraud ? I just do not know what to do Thank you I do hope you will reply.

Answer
Recent usage on any one card within 60 days over $600 is deemed automatically nondischargeable. Speak with your lawyer, and they will advise you to stop using the cards, and they may wait a bit to push out the recent usage out of the 60 day window.  Each scenario is different, so speak with your lawyer who knows your case.
