Bankruptcy Law/Payment made after bankruptcy discharge

Question
The bankruptcy discharge was granted in 2003 which included a debit from a utility company from 2000.  In April 2008 I made a payment on the debit.  Since it was after the discharge, can I get the money back?  There was no reaffirmation agreement.

Answer
I highly doubt it.  You made a voluntary payment on a discharged debt.  You can call them and ask them to return it and see what happens, but I have no idea whether you could force them to do it.  Even if you could, it would probably cost several thousand dollars in attorneys fees, and I somehow doubt you paid anywhere near that much to them.
