Question
If someone has to file ch. 13 (not 7 because of excess income) and then maybe a year later his income greatly increases to the point that he can pay all his previous  monthly payments, can he cancel the bankruptcy and simply keep paying his expenses as he did before bankruptcy?

Answer
You can choose to dismiss your case voluntarily, and yes, all the debt would be then due.  The case will still stay on your credit report, so it is usually just wise to continue with the case and get a discharge.  You can use this greater income to pay off the case faster.
