Question
I am filling chapter 13 and I am affirming my vechicle. My attorney included it and I am assuming once the bankrupcy goes through I will be making payments to the court for the car. I recieved several calls from the car company and advised them I am filling bankrupcy w/ affirment . I gave them my attorney information and said to call them . They continue to call me and state they can until they get a case number. Is it against the FDCPA to contact me and request payment if I gave them attorney information???? Please advise.

Answer
I don't know if it's against the FDCPA, but it's clearly a violation of the automatic stay under 11 USC 362 (the Bankruptcy Code).  You should take down the name, number, date and time of each caller and have your attorney file a motion for violation of the automatic stay if he/she thinks it is warranted.
