Question
Our chapter 7 bankrupty was dismissed Jan. 06, 2009. What is the time frame for filing a chapter 13 to save our home? The morgage company is asking for money by March 17, 2009.

Thanks, Linda

Answer
Since it was dismissed, you have to file a new case, chapter 13.
If it was discharged, then if you file a 13, you can get the house caught up, but won't get a discharge.  You can file at any time, as long as you do it before the sale date, the new filing will stop the foreclosure.
