Question
If I filed for bancruotcy in January 2002 and it was discharged in May 2002, could I file again since I have lost my job and am experiencing extreme financial hardship?

Answer
Chapter 7 can be filed 8 years and 1 day from your prior chapter 7.
You can otherwise do a chapter 13, if you have enough monthly disposable income to pay a percentage to your creditors. Otherwise, try to stick it out 8 more months until you are eligible again in Jan 2010
