Bankruptcy Law/New Job after Chapter 7 filing

Question
I filed for Chapter 7 at the end of March. My trustee meeting is in the first week of May. If I have a job offer that pays 100k, will that affect my case?

Answer
Your petition snapshot is taken as of the date you filed in March/April.  You should tell your attorney about the new job offer.  In most cases I've seen, the court usually will not do anything. However, there is a provision that allows the US Trustee to object if they really feel you can now afford to pay back debt.  So, you should let them know you have a new job offer.
