Question
My husband and I have quite a bit of unsecured debt 1 cc and lots of medical totaling about $15,000. We also have a vehicle that we purchased when we were both working, I am no longer working and the $500 a month payment along repairs totaling $3,000 in 4 months is sinking us. Also we have some old collection I have been trying to clean up. Are credit is not good to begin with and we were wondering if Ch 7 was a good option for us. We live in California, we own 1 car out right, we rent, and have 2 toddlers. Any advice?

Answer
It sounds like Chapter 7 might very well be a viable option for you.  You should consult with a bankruptcy attorney to properly assess your options.  I would be happy to assist, so if you wish, please visit http://www.bklaw.com/consult/ to schedule an appointment.
