Bankruptcy Law/Credit Card Use

Question
Hello,
I recently paid off a loan using my credit card. ($9000) The interest rate on my Credit card was better than the loan interest rate. I thought I could make the payments but in the next couple of months I see myself not being able to make the payments. My question is if I file chapter  bankruptucy would this charge be questionable even if I don't use the card anymore. I live in GA
Thanks,

Answer
You can discharge the debt. However, creditors can object for recent usage within 90 days before filing, or significant usage with minimal payments outside of the 90 days.  I would suggest making the minimum payments on the debt for a min of 90 days before filing to lessen the likelihood of an objection by that credit card company.
