Question
Is there a best time to file Chapter 7 with foreclosing properties.
I have investment properties that are valued 40% less than I paid and have stopped paying on them.

Are there any advantages to filing before?
or after the property forecloses.

That is an extremely complicated topic and there is no simple answer to your question, but the short answer is "yes" it can definitely make a difference when you file in relation to foreclosures.  It depends on a detailed analysis of the specific facts of the case by a qualified tax attorney who has knowledge of bankruptcy law.
