Question
Hi, we were recently discharged our debt back just two months ago, we had surrendered the the house in the BK, I keep getting phone calls from the morgage company now saying we will be paying a lien for the property, I have not been notified of any put on the property. Are they able to put a lien on a house after a discharge has taken place? If so what will be my obligations to that lien.  Thanks for any advise you can give.

Answer
If you surrendered and completed the chapter 7, they will be discharged.  The lender will foreclose, in order to transfer title back to them, then they will sell at auction.  They are not allowed to collect any deficiency amount from you, if they do not get the full balance in the sale.
