Question
I'm getting ready to file chapter 13 in Virginia. I am getting a tax return back in the next couple of weeks. We are waiting to get it before I file. Am i intitled to surender it? And am i intitled to surender the coming years of any return I get? Also, do I have to surender any bonuses I get from my employer?  Thanks

Answer
It will depend on your local jurisdiction, some require you to pay in tax returns, others don't.  Your plan may say either way. Check with your lawyer, if you have none, then check with the trustee once you file.  Usually, your plan will account for income, including bonuses.
