Question
Do I need to reopen my case if I have received utilities bills for my property that was foreclosure thru bankruptcy.  I have received comcast bill for cable box that we could not return do to being locked out of the property without notice and utilites bills for clean up of property after we moved.

Answer
Whether you need to reopen your case to include these bills will depend on whether these bills came prior to filing for bankruptcy or whether the amounts were incurred after bankruptcy. If the bills were incurred after filing for bankruptcy then you cannot include them in the bankruptcy. If your liability for the debts arose before your case was filed then you can reopen your case and include the bills. Debts that were incurred after your bankruptcy case was filed cannot be discharged in your bankruptcy.
