Bankruptcy Law/Lien on quad

Question
I filed chapter 7 BK back in 2004. We signed a reaffirmation to keep this quad motorcycle. We never received documents as to where to send payments. It was purchased under a revolving charge. The title is still ib my name and the lien is still present. Is there a way to get the lien cleared without starting a fight with the lender. I have never heard from them and I don't want to get them started on me for the payments. It has been 6 years.

Answer
You are on the hook for the payments, since you signed the reaffirmation agreement.
You should send payments to the address that you listed in your bankruptcy schedules, of from any recent correspondence that you may have received.  The lien will legally remain until the debt is satisfied.  You can contact the lender to see if they have payment options, but as you stated, that could open a can of worms.  I would send the payments, keep receipts, and hope for the best.  IF you surrender it, they can sell it, and come after you for the difference.  Good luck. thanks for your question.
