Bankruptcy Law/Chapter 7 with truck lein

Question
Our Chapter 7 was discharged in Nov. 2010. It included our truck which we still owed $19,000. We continued making payments two months after we filed bankruptcy. I understand the promissory note is gone but the lein stays. Can they repossess the truck and if not how do we get the pink slip?

Answer
If you did not reaffirm the debt on the vehicle prior to your discharge, then yes they can repossess the truck at any time.  Whether they will or not is another story entirely.  Usually is you stay current with the payments, most secured creditors will not repossess.  Of course, if you fall behind on the payments, they will likely repossess.

As for getting the pink slip, you get that after you have made all payments due under your contract on the vehicle.
