Question
I filed Chapter 13 and I am still making regularly scheduled payments to the trustee.  My plan balance is 4150.00 and I forwarded an income tax check refund of 6000.00 to the trustee.  Will this refund pay out my plan balance and my case be discharged?

Answer
Once the trustee is paid, the normal process is for them to audit the file to be sure all payments were credited properly.  Once done, they will send a notice to the court, and you should get your discharge. Any overpayment will be refunded to you as well.  You can always contact your local trustee to confirm the time frame.  Your attorney can also help you with any specifics.
Congrats!
