Question
We have a piece of vacant land that we foreclosed upon through foreclosure proceedings that was scheduled for auction at 10:30 this morning at our title company. At 10:00AM our title company called to let us know the person filed bankruptcy 9:09AM. What recourse do we have at at this point?

Answer
That depends on about 100 different factors.  You need to consult with a bankruptcy attorney located wherever the case was filed.  Presumably a Ch. 13 case was filed, so you can possibly contest their plan (if necessary) or seek relief from the automatic stay if they don't make the required post petition payments to you, etc.
