Question
I and my husband filed bankruptcy just before the laws had changed (Minnesota). we included our Toyota in this, well the bank had sent some repo company to us and found my husband at a former employers business at this time the repo guy started a physical confrontation with my husband and his former boss, police were called and the repo guy left,we had threatened to file a complaint, were un sure where to file this.well they had left us alone for a while and we checked our credit to find out that Toyota had wrote us off to our bankruptcy . well it has been 2 years at least and now we got a call again from a repo company.what i need to know is ,is there a statue of limitations for this sort of thing? can they still take this auto even thou Toyota collected by means of our bankruptcy( through there insurance?) what can i do?

Answer
Presumably Toyota had a lien against your vehicle so if you did not pay them per the terms of your contract with them, and they were owed money, they are entitled to repossess the vehicle.  How they repossess and things like that would be governed by Minnesota law, of which I have no knowledge.
