Question
I FILED A 13 IN CA 4 YEARS AGO AND HAVE 1 YEAR LEFT TO PAY MY PLAN. I WANT TO GET MARRIED BUT DONT WANT NEW HUSBAND TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OLD DEBT. CAN THEY GO AFTER HIS PROPERTY ETC.?

Answer
Normally, as long as he wasn't cosigned, or the debt was not incurred during the marriage, the creditors will not be able to go after you.  You can check with a local attorney to see if your state is a community property state (where debts are shared between spouses regardless of who got them)
