Question
I am on disability and receive @ $1050.00 per month in benefits. I am going to have to file bankruptcy due to owing @50,000.00 and having only the disability as my sole source of income. I just moved to Las Vegas, NV and need to know are there any residency requirements and is my disability income exempt from attachment since it is all I have?

Answer
you must live in the jurisdiction for 90 days before you file the case in Vegas.  As to disability income, if you spend everything you make, you are a candidate for Chapter 7.  State law applies as to what income can be attached, so you would need to speak to a Nevada attorney to verify if the disability is exempt.
