Bankruptcy Law/Can I amend a bankruptcy after it is discharged

Question
My bankruptcy has been discharged in July.  I just found out today that the gas company has linked my account to my ex husband who owes more then 2000.  can they do this?  My divorce decree states he is responsible for paying all utility payment from the time we were married

Answer
You can always amend a case if the debt was incurred prior to the case getting filed. The court charges $26. Cosigners or joint debt holders are equally responsible for the debt.  So they will be able to go after your ex to collect on this.  You may also want to advise your divorce attorney of the situation.
