Question
I am going to file chptr 7 and need to know what effect this will have on royalty payments I receive for a few products I have invented..I believe this would be considered intelletual property. Obviously since I'm filing bankruptcy, I don't get much from the royalties but you never know, they may go up in the future.

Answer
The royalties are assets of your bankruptcy estate and must be valued.  Whether and to what extent you can protect your future stream of income from them depends on the exemption laws of whatever State's exemptions apply in your case (usually where your case is filed, but it depends on where you've lived for the prior 2-3 years).
