Question
I have a question for you; I have what have turned out to be private student loans; when I went into bankruptcy 13 in 2000 I paid a small percentage of them for 5 years; after I emeraged from 13 in June of 2005; I was contacted by a collection agency to set up a payment plan of these loans of $100.00 a month and 50.00 a month; I have not missed a payment of an kind after 17 months; now Educap the comapny that owed the loans sold them to another company; this is my question; I had one federal loan on my bankruptcy, and I think these were mistakenly veiwed as federal laws also; they arn't I took these loans out in 1994 and 1995; should I go back to my attorney?? or what?? I am very lost....thanx

Answer
I'm sorry, but I do not understand your question.  Are you asking whether or not the student loans you had were fully private (i.e. privately funded and there was no government program that administered or insured them)?  If that's what you're asking, I have no way to answer that without reviewing the loan documents.
